Training Program Overview

Our Training Philosophy

At Law Magic Equestrian, we believe that successful horse riding instruction combines technical skill development with building confidence, respect for horses, and a deep understanding of equestrian principles. Our structured programs are designed to take riders from their first lesson to advanced competitive levels.

Each training program is tailored to the individual rider's goals, experience level, and learning pace. We emphasize safety, proper technique, and the development of an independent seat and hands that allow for effective communication with the horse.

How Our Training is Conducted

1

Ground Work Foundation

Every session begins with ground work to establish a connection with your horse. You'll learn to approach, lead, groom, and understand horse behavior. This builds confidence and teaches essential safety skills before mounting.

2

Mounting and Basic Position

Learn proper mounting techniques and develop a secure, balanced seat. We focus on correct posture, leg position, and hand placement to establish the foundation for all future riding skills.

3

Walk, Trot, and Balance

Progress through the gaits systematically, starting with walk and advancing to trot as balance and confidence improve. Each gait is mastered before moving to the next level.

4

Steering and Control

Develop independent aids for steering, stopping, and transitions. Learn to communicate effectively with your horse through seat, legs, and reins.

5

Advanced Skills Development

As competency grows, introduce more complex movements, jumping (if desired), and discipline-specific skills such as dressage movements or trail riding techniques.
